Frequently Asked Questions

Working with us

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in Clark, New Jersey and serve customers throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our area, give us a call.

How do I get a quote?

Call us at (732) 381-5604 or send a message through our contact form. For most projects we’ll schedule a site walk so we can see the space, understand what you need and give you an accurate, itemized quote.

Do you work with businesses, homeowners, or both?

Both. Most of our work is commercial — offices, warehouses, schools and municipal buildings — but we also bring the same standards to residential projects like home networks, security cameras and A/V.

Can you work after hours or on weekends?

Yes. We know many businesses can’t shut down for an install. We regularly schedule work around business hours, shifts and receiving schedules to keep disruption to a minimum.

Will you coordinate with my general contractor, electrician or IT provider?

Absolutely. On new construction and fit-outs we coordinate with the rest of the project team so cabling is roughed in at the right time and everything is ready when you move in.

During the project

What should I expect on installation day?

Our technicians arrive at the scheduled time, review the plan with your point of contact, protect your space as they work, and clean up before they leave. We’ll let you know about anything unexpected before it affects the schedule or cost.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on the size of the job. A handful of new network drops or cameras can often be completed in a day; a full office fit-out or warehouse system takes longer. Your quote will include an expected timeline.

Do you test and label the cabling you install?

Yes. Every cable we install is labeled at both ends and tested before we leave, and you receive documentation of the results for your records.

Can you work with the cabling or cameras I already have?

In many cases, yes. We can add to, repair or clean up existing cabling, and hybrid camera systems let you keep working analog cameras while adding new IP cameras.

Technology questions

What is structured cabling, and why does it matter?

Structured cabling is an organized, standards-based system of cables, patch panels and pathways that connects all of the devices in your building. Compared with cables added one at a time, it’s faster to troubleshoot, easier to change and more reliable.

What’s the difference between Cat 6 and Cat 6A?

Both are high-performance copper cables. Cat 6A supports higher speeds over longer distances and handles the extra power many modern devices draw. We’ll recommend the right one based on your devices, distances and how long you plan to be in the space.

Should I choose analog or IP cameras?

IP cameras generally offer better image quality, smarter search features and easier expansion, and they’re usually the best choice for new systems. HD analog can be a cost-effective upgrade where coaxial cable is already in place. A hybrid system lets you combine both.

Can I view my cameras from my phone?

Yes. We set up secure remote viewing on your phone, tablet or computer and show you how to find and save footage.

Will a VoIP phone system work with my current internet?

Often it will, but call quality depends on your internet connection and internal network. We check your network before installation and recommend any changes needed for clear, reliable calls.

After the install

Do you provide support after the installation?

Yes. We support the systems we install with service calls, moves/adds/changes and repairs. For camera systems, our camera managed services include ongoing monitoring and maintenance.

Can you service a system someone else installed?

In many cases, yes. We’ll take a look at what you have, let you know what’s working and what isn’t, and recommend the most practical way forward.
